Naming Ceremonies
A naming ceremony is for babies or children of any age, often taking place on a birthday or other significant date.
This joyous occasion can be commemorated with a ritual such as a fingerprint tree, or the completion of a book of wishes from your guests.
With your direction I will produce the perfect ceremony, helping you to write pledges or promises for your chosen guide-parents, grandparents, or significant others to make to the ceremony star.
Why not consider a joint ceremony with a sibling or cousin, or a themed event tailored to suit the younger generation?
You can even incorporate a guest appearance from a favourite character.
The Process
What’s involved?
- The initial meeting. Let’s get talking, see if we gel, and get planning your special event.
- The questionnaire/quiz. A perfect opportunity to find out more about your ideal naming ceremony and those all important elements you want to include.
- The written draft. This is where the magic happens! The first script will bring together the origins of the chosen name with other content such as rituals, readings or poems, all of which I have the resources to help you choose from.
- The background planning. My liaisons with your venue and any other ceremony suppliers will make sure everything goes to plan on the day.
- The sign-off meeting. All amendments to the script have been made, the day’s finer details have been ironed out, and we’re all good to go.
- The rehearsal. As an optional extra you may want to make sure practice makes perfect.
- The main event. It’s the all important day and time for me to officiate your ceremony and commemorate the all-important next step of the journey.
- The memorabilia. A presentation copy of your ceremony script.
What’s the cost, what’s included and what are the optional extras?
- Price is £400, to include travel within a 40 miles radius from Lytham St. Annes.
- Travel outside of this area will cost an additional 40 pence per mile.
- A presentation copy of the ceremony script will be included.
- Additional presentation copies of the ceremony script, readings or poems are available for an additional cost of £15 each.
