About Me

A Warm Welcome

Hello, my name is Melinda, an independent modern celebrant with a love of the outdoors, friends, family and my two small dogs.

With a kind, compassionate and warm approach, I take pride in creating memorable ceremonies that are uniquely tailored to mark each step of life’s journey, with honesty, integrity, and a sprinkling of all-important humour.

My Journey

My path to becoming a celebrant has been shaped by 20 years working as a secretary and personal assistant, where I developed a strong foundation in organisation, communication, tenacity and attention to detail.  I later followed my calling into nursing, where I have spent the past two decades working both clinically and in leadership, latterly managing a team whilst also providing patient care.  These experiences have shaped me into someone who is not only calm, patient and understanding, but also deeply attuned to the personal stories and emotions behind every ceremony.  Becoming a celebrant has been a natural progression for me; an opportunity to combine my professional skills, personal values, and love of meaningful connection in helping families to honour life’s milestones with warmth, dignity, and a touch of well-deserved luxury.

My Values and Passions

Creativity is one of my greatest joys, whether I’m cooking up a comforting meal, getting lost in a knitting project, sketching a quiet moment, or putting thoughts to paper through writing.  I love making things with my hands and heart, and these creative outlets reflect the care and intention I bring to everything I do.  Lucky to have a small family and friends I adore, I feel grateful and privileged to live so near to the beach where I enjoy taking walks with my dogs, and the occasional run.  I value good health, exercise regularly, and particularly enjoy team pro sprint indoor cycling, pilates and yoga.  My dedication to lifelong learning, and in helping others to thrive through hard work and determination, is also incredibly rewarding to me.
